About Me

I have been programming for over 8 years. Originally I wrote code as a hobby to help support my data analysis -- scraping government contractor pricing data to make my life easier or mining fantasy football statistics to make my teams better -- but eventually it became such a passion that I pursued it as a profession.

I'm curently a professional software developer who has written, tested, deployed, and supported applications ranging in size and complexity from personal regression analysis applications, to small scale hobby apps with a couple thousand users, to international small business and enterprise scale applications.

When I'm not coding, I can usually be found deconstructing small electronics, trying to add 5lbs to my squat PR, or researching how to crush my opponents in fantasy sports.

Grandma uses the Grammarly API to grade and score blog posts based on their grammar. The top Medoim blogs are scraped and scored daily, and users can see how their own blogs compare by adding theirs to the database.

The product of a 10 hour hackathon. Built using the SEPTA API, the app gets real time train schedules for all regional rail trains in the Philadelphia area. Built on the backend using Ruby on Rails, and the frontend using JavaScript. Can handle both HTML and JSON requests, also updates through AJAX calls.

Mr Commissioner is a web application created to provide fantasy football commissioners with statistics and in depth information about their leagues to help them create interesting write ups and content for their members.

Originally the product of a 2 day hackathon, Mr Commissioner continues to be developed and supported as it's user base grows.

Software Developer | Team Lead- uShip (current)

As a Software Developer and Team Lead with uShip, I lead a small agile team developing uShip's large consumer, small business, and enterprise applications. In addition to development I am responsible for inter-departmental communication and product negotiation.

Developer - Dynasty Football League (current)

Develop interactive web applications with an emphasis on building awesome user experiences and consumable data analysis for the everyday fantasy football player.

Head Honcho - DynastyFFTools.com (current)

Building and maintaining the dynastyfftools.com single page app and overall web presence.

Allocator - Burlington Stores (January 2015 - June 2015)

Execute the planning and allocation strategies for the Men's Active and Big & Tall departments across all Burlington doors. This included analyzing sales and market trends, developing distribution strategies to meet merchandising goals, and creating various tools in Excel to improve data analysis.

Analyst - Overseas Strategic Consulting (January 2014 - January 2015)

Provided operational, administrative, and technical support to OSC's project management team throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, including managing consultant deployments, assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports, and providing support to OSC field staff.

Supported the technology team to research emerging communications tools.

Maintained the old website, and developed a new, mobile friendly responsive site.
